Definition of success
Definition of success has not actually been created in order, yet. Of course, you can find a technical or literary definition of success, but defining success actually depends upon an individual and it would not be wrong to say that it varies from one individual to another. For me, it may be accumulation of great wealth, for you it would be purchasing a Ferrari, for a teenager it may be hearing a ‘yes’ from his beloved and the definition continues to vary. Having a great job, attainment of wealth, having a high position in society, going on a world tour may all be definitions of success but the core essence of success still remains a mystery. Here is a beautiful quote by Anna Quindlen that says it all: If your success is not on your own terms, if it looks good but does not feel good in your heart, it is not success at all. Here, Anna wanted to prove that the essence of success lies in the satisfaction that you achieve after accomplishing a task. Contentment and happiness can actually be defined as success. Setting goals for yourself, all own your own and trying to accomplish it would define success for you. Setting goals as per the expectations of people around you and your loved ones would be a success for them and not you. However, it is also true that our happiness depends on the happiness of someone we love, our individual aspirations and a cheerful environment around us. Hence, dividing our goals in to several different categories would also offer us immense satisfaction and happiness. Here is a list of what you can follow, in this regard. Laughing more often and heartily would be a great success to you. Winning the appreciation, love and respect from intelligent people and children is success. When honest critics appreciate you and your efforts, you are successful. Happiness, ultimately is achieving one’s cherished desires and aims. Now, this is a never ending process. Today, you may dream of bagging a great job, tomorrow, you may want to impress your boss and the third day you would like to be promoted. Success is a journey. You cannot stop because you have achieved a goal today. You have a goal for tomorrow and you need to work towards it. It is actually a task that we require accomplishing on a daily basis. end
