Fear of success seems to be a strange term. You must be thinking what it is all about. We have always heard about the desire of success but the fear of success is still a foreign term, to many. Here are some of the points that would offer you a lucid explanation on the term fear of success: It is a kind of fear that makes you feel that you would be able to accomplish your goal but this would not make you satisfied or happy at the end. Fear of success is a kind of belief that you do not deserve the fame and success that is in store for you. The fear of making mistakes in the act of reaching your goals is the fear of success. Most people sense lack of faith in their proficiency when it comes to achieve a goal. Fear of success is also the feeling that all your accomplishments would end up in failure, anytime. Fear of success is also a feeling that once you achieve the goals you have really worked hard for, you would have no interest in continue or would be left with nothing to accomplish. Most people fear that people around them are better off more capable and more deserving. Fear of success may not be a very common term, but the feelings mentioned above are very common and most of us have felt this way whenever we are on an important mission. However, we need to overcome this fear of success as there are negative consequences that fear of success has on an individual. Here are some of the adverse effects of the fear of success. a) Fear of success can lead in to a lack of hard work that one needs to put in, in order to reach specific goals. b) This would also create problems in making prudent decisions. c) Fear of success often results in lack of motivation and the wish to prosper. d) One may start feeling guilty; get confused get confused and anxious in case, he/she achieves success. One can easily overcome the fear of success by believing in oneself and stop thinking about What if I fail. Self confidence and belief in one’s strength would keep fear of success miles away. Always believe that success is meant for you and you can easily achieve it combat fear of success and you are successful. period
