Very Pretty but not very cool

My friend has just got hold of a led PCB board and has connected it up to make it look really pretty. He was always good at physics and so this is just the sort of thing that he always likes doing. I think that he thought that his knowledge of led circuit boards might impress me but it did not! It looked very pretty but I am afraid that hearing all about the reasons why it did what it did rather put me off. I could appreciate how it looked but I did not need to know what caused it to look so good, it took all the fun out of it. It is like reading a poem and then being told what inspired the poet to write it – I am not interested I just want to appreciate things at face value. Needless to say he did not impress me and when he asked me out later that evening – for about the twelfth time, I turned him down. I tried explaining to him why he didn’t impress me but he just could not understand. I was never going to go out with him anyway but I now have even more reasons not to, to add to my list.
